At Blue Groove Vans we have researched far and wide to limit the environmental impact that our customers have when on tour. Resulting in us incorporating two important environmental features in our van.
Waste disposal and Recycling
Limiting Carbon Emissions
Carbon Offsetting through Green Fleet
Hygiene is conducive to maintaining health and preventing disease and achieved through cleanliness, especially through the stresses of touring and life on the road.
Our vans recycling bin can prevent the waste of potentially useful materials and reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, thereby reducing: energy usage, air and water pollution.
Our vans waste bin allows you to hygienically store unwanted waste products until you are able to remove them from the vehicle, keeping your tour clean, healthy and the van smelling fresh.
We encourage you to reduce your tours greenhouse gas emissions and your overall carbon footprint by driving our van rather than multiple cars or flights. We then offset the carbon emissions through Green Fleet.
72% of the totally emitted greenhouse gases is carbon dioxide (CO2).
The average Boeing and Airbus produces between 71g/km and 87g/km of CO2 per person according to the US Energy and Information Administration.
Our van produces 227g/km of CO2 in total according to Toyota, when it has 12 people travelling in it.
This means that if you are traveling on tour with more then 3 people it is more environmentally sustainable to travel in our van then to fly.
Another source ICCT program director Dan Rutherford claims that any more then 2.2 people in a vehicle will result in lower BTU (British Thermal Units) then airplanes.
